What is the infrastructure in the Cinco Ventanas subdivision?
Unlike many prime areas of Costa Rica, the artesian water at Cinco Ventanas is abundant, year-round and uncontaminated by agriculture. The water system, from our own private artesian well registered by the Nation Registry for the exclusive use by Cinco Ventanas, is already in place with water available at all lots. Electricity lines are also already installed to provide service at each lot. Trash and septic are handled by individual property owners. Telephone land-lines are now available and cellular service has improved greatly in the recent years.
As a planned community, a large shopping center and then a gasoline station were constructed at the entrance to the subdivision on the Coastal Highway early in the development phase to anchor the development and to provide convenience and business opportunities to residents. Groceries, dining, entertainment, hardware, sports rentals and other businesses provide a hub for residents.

Cinco Ventanas means five windows.
The name is derived from natural tunnels formed in the cliffs on both sides of the virgin sand of Ventanas Beach. Many of the caves have formed tunnels to the ocean on the other side of the cliffs which are truly windows to the Pacific.
With the completion of the Costanera Pacifico, Costa Rica's new coastal highway, Cinco Ventanas is minutes from the beach town of Dominical and the regional airport of Palmar Sur, offering daily flights from San Jose.
